Nowadays, movies and television are very popular to those who always go to the cinema and watch movies at the weekends. People also prefer to stay at home and watch television in their leisure time. Since people watch movies and television frequently, they insert influence on the people’s mind and behaviour. In this essay, I am going to show how the movies and television influence people’s behaviour.

Violent movies transmit a wrong message to audience. Although there are many different movies shown in cinema, most of villains in the films them are depicted as heroic.  Those heroic films always depicted  the conflicts between the police and thief.  I think this will change  the people’s moral value and let them not determine the right and the wrong. In addition, the film also provides a message that violence is the solution to all problems. This will lead to fights  by which the people always make use of violence to solve the problems.

Most of the people spend much time to watch television and this surely affects their work performance. Many teenagers prefer to watch television all day but not to revise their homework. This will greatly affect their academic results. Many people like to watch football matches at midnight. This causes them not to have enough stamina to work and not concentrate on their work.

To conclude, watching movies and television are good entertainment to relax and escape from the great pressure. However, we should discipline  ourselves and not to overuse them.
