144. Every generation of people is different in important ways. How is your generation different from your parents’ generation? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.

Nowadays, generation gap between parents and younger people are become wider and wider. They cannot  communicate with each other.  They always don’t understand each other too. In this essay, I will examine the reasons for generation gap between parents and younger people and suggest some solution to solve this phenomenon.

     The lack of communication between parents and younger people are the main cause of the generation. Parents need to earn a living  in order to provide a good living standard to youngsters. Parents usually work more than ten hours a  day.  Because of long working hours, they will not have any spare time to chat with youngsters. Thus, youngsters may feel lonely at  home and always talk on the phone with their friends who can share the same feeling with  them. What’s more, the technology is advanced. They like play computer games, playing ICQ and so on.  There is little communication between parents and youngsters. 

     Apart from the lack of communication, misunderstanding between  their parents leads to a  generation gap. Parents and youngsters always have different views, then conflict will happen. Moreover, parents always think they are always right  and always scold youngsters. Therefore, it makes youngsters feel it is difficult to communicate  with parents. In addition, parents is a traditional and youngsters wants to explore something new.

     To overcome the problem, I think parents and youngsters should spend more time to communicate  with one another. For instance, they can chat with one another before bed time every night. It may improve the relationship between parents and younger people. Besides, parents can listen to their children if they come across  problems, then, they can help them to solve the problems and give them some suggestions too.

     By and large, I think youngsters and parents should have more communication . If not, they will have arguments again. Eventaully, the generation gap will become wider and widen again.
