50. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

      Face- to- face communication is better than other types of communication, such as letters, e-mails, or telephone calls. Use specific reasons and details to support your answer.

     Do we  communicate with someone every day? We have to  contact our friends, our teachers and the like by various means to send a message. We have to communicate  in order to complete a task. We may choose to have face- to- face communication, write letters e-mails and use telephone  I prefer to have direct communication, rather than an indirect one. In this essay, I will argue that face- to- face communication is better than indirect  communication.

     Face- to- face communication can let people understand what we convey directly. If they don’t understand, they can ask us  directly on the spot.  . While chatting, we  can see our friends face to face, we can observe their facial expressions to know the mood of the listener. But, we cannot see the expression of the sender by means of  letters, mails and phone calls.  This is indirect communication. What’s more, we  can see our friend’s response though face- to- face communication. Direct communication is better than indirect communication because we understand the tone of the speaker.  Even the phone calls, we  just hear their voice  only but we  can’t see their faces.

     Chatting  with our friends face to face may make us  feel very comfortable . We can see the gesture of our friends. We may have body languages, or body contact. Moreover, we  may easily share with  them our secrets when we face our friends. If we share our  secrets in letters and mails, our friends may think that we  are not serious. Or our friends just think that we are just making up stories. However, in face-to-face communication, our friends will feel our sincerity.

     All in all, I think face- to- face communication is better than other communication. There is little misunderstanding between two parries, and gestures can help the speakers to convey the ideas with a correct tone. Moreover, I think it is the best communication for people to communicate with others.
