    More up-to-date information can be accessed from the Internet to help our studies or our work. The information nowadays is fast changing. As a student, we cannot merely rely on textbooks. Editing and publishing take time. We may find the information out-dated at the time when we read it from books. Moreover, ,students should get additional materials to broaden their horizons. This is the way that they can get ahead of others .As a businessman, if they want to boost up the  sale, they should get better knowledge about what consumers want. This can be put all the information on a webpage. Customers who engage in garment industry should surf the Internet and see what is the latest fashion in Paris. This may help them to improve the quality and the design of their products.

       Computer skill is commonly required at work. .If we do not have the skill, we may not have the chances for promotion, or we even cannot find a job that can support our life. As we can see, people between the  age 40s and 50s have little skill to operate computers. They find difficulties in hunting a job as they cannot meet the current  requirements. Why do most employers require employees to have computer skills? It is simply because the growing importance of computers can improve productivity and help to save costs,for hiring fewer staff members in some industries as they are replaced by the use of advanced technology.

Those people who previously engaged in the industries may become unemployed. How can they get the jobs in offices that require the skills that they do not know at the time that most industries have been computerized?

        Communication through the Internet with computer is also needed in order to have a successful life. We may exchange our views with those all over the world. This not only enhances our knowledge, but also improves our social skills which is also necessary in our life. We have to learn to respect others and cooperate to do well. You may argue that we can communicate with others without operating computers, but in other forms, for example, through letters, telephones or with fax. However they are not the most convenient ways as operating a computer .So, we cannot deny that use of computers is important.

All in all, mastering computer skill is basically necessary in today’s world in order to be successful. It is important that we should start learning it if we do not know. Otherwise, we may find difficulties to cope with others in the future.
