AL oral 97 set 15
Build up a team spirit
Our principal is aware of the selfish behavior and poor attitude of some students. In order to solve the problem, we should build up team spirit among students. In this discussion, we will pinpoint the problems of school and suggest some means to raise a sense of belonging to school..
First of all, we should consider problems of students in school. Nowadays, students prefer to follow suit. Sometimes, they may imitate the style of pop stars, such as wearing three or more earrings on their ears or dyed hair, etc. They want to look smart or outstanding. Although teachers and perfects try to exhort or punish them in order to follow the rules, students neglect their advice. Moreover, some bad students like to use their correction pens to write the words or draw a picture, etc on the tables and the doors in toilets. Sometimes, they may use this method to take a revenge on their classmates or teachers. It hurts their dignity and makes them unhappy. Besides, not many students care school property ; for instance, students may not turn off the lights and air-conditioners when they leave their classroom. It will fritter away money and energy. We will also see that the floor of classrooms having a lot of rubbish, such as pages of newspaper and tissues, etc. They may think that they haven¡¦t got any responsibility to keep their classrooms clean. However, they will create a dirty environment to study. I think not many student s want to study a dirty environment. Therefore, the feasible solution should implement in schools.
The main reason for poor attitude of students is that they don¡¦t know how to love our school. They like to do their work themselves without asking any advice from teachers or other student helpers. As a result, it is difficult to help them to develop a team spirit in school. We suggest holding some activities that to show how to love the school, such as board displaying, slogan-design and essay competitions, etc. Students should take part in at least one programme. Through these activities, students have the chances to learn how to love the school. In addition, they may give up their bad behavior. Moreover, if the school holds a sport day or other competition, students can join together to form a cheering group. Apart from improving the incentives, it can also build up a team spirit. Principal and teachers can also award them some gifts to encourage them.
All in all, to develop a positive attitude of group identity among students is vital in school. With concerted effort, we hope the principal, teachers and students can join together to fight against the problems in school.
