Benefits of singing and taking part in this project

        . Nowadays, as people are hardworking in order to earn a living . They seldom have recreational activities other than working. They work in the morning till night and then back home. They do not have any other activities. They do not go out because they want to save money for the future, especially at the time when Hong Kong is undergoing the economic downturn Therefore, we organize this choir to give an opportunity for the people who do not have much money and who do not want to stay at home all day and night to have something to work on  Our target group  of the choir is the teenagers and the adults. These two kinds of people will have interest in joining  us. However, we welcome the children and the elderly to join the choir if they want to.

Target groups of the choir      

Since the choir is conducted by a local celebrity, some of their fans will join the choir as the fans will support their idols. Moreover, the celebrity can cause the choir to have a good publicity or image then it can encourage more people to join.

Promote the choir around the community.

We can post the posters in the community center as there will have many people and they can see the posters. We can post the posters in the church as this can attract the members of the church’s choir or other Christians who like singing to come. As teenagers are our target groups,   we can post the poster in the school or to communicate with the music teachers in the schools.  Then they will help us to promote the choir and encourage students to join it.

In order to attract more people to join us, we should state the benefits of joining this choir in the posters. As the citizens in Hong Kong seldom do exercise, they do not have strong lungs. However, singing can reinforce the lungs as singing can expand human’s lungs. So we can have stronger lungs by singing. Besides, as Hong Kong citizens are busy and rarely to meet people, their social circle is quite small. Many citizens even do not know who are their neighbours. So, by joining this choir, people can meet more people and can enlarge their social circle. This choir can give an opportunity for the people to discover their potential on singing or let them show their singing skills  in front of the others.

Methods of presenting the information to the citizens.

We can promote  the information on a person-to-person basis. We can send some students to some estates or the community center to inform and persuade people to join us. Placing posters is another method. However, we should make sure that the messages in the poster should be clear.
