Animals deserve to be treated with the same consideration and care as human beings.

Why do animals deserve to be treated with the same consideration and care? Animals and human beings are equal. They are our fellow companions along our life's journey; therefore, they deserve our protection, care and compassion. Indeed, human beings have no right to subject animals to pain or suffering. It is conventional that the disgraceful record of human abuse of animals continues to be long and extensive!

People may argue that it is necessary for us to kill animals for  a simple reason - survival. Our basic common motive is to satisfy our physical and psychological needs. Hence, people are forced to kill animals in order to produce clothing and food. Although their arguments are strong, this  is not totally valid. As a matter of fact, everyone has his or her choice of food and clothing. Is it necessary for us to eat meat or to wear fur coats? No doubt, there are vegetables which are more delicious than meat. We can  still survive, be strong and healthy, by eating  vegetables only. Besides, there is a wide range of excellent fabrics that are far superior to fur in terms of durability, weight, warmth and coat. How inhuman to kill animals!

It is no longer necessary for us to hurt and kill animals in order to ensure human well being. In fact, modern technology has provided alternatives to the use of animals in many spheres where they have been mistreated or abused in the past. Undoubtedly, the use of animals in medical and scientific research is so outdated and discredited that it is becoming increasingly intolerable to a civilized society. What a shame to hurt animals!

Animals are lovely. Many animals are used as pets, for example, rabbits, cats, and dogs. Why do many people love pets? Actually, the owners regard their pets as their family members. Therefore, animals deserve to be treated with the same consideration, and care as human beings.

Apart from affection, animals should be protected because some of them are on the verge of extinction. Nowadays, the slaughter and illegal smuggling of rare animals are common. As a result, there is a dramatic drop in the number of several kinds of animals, for instance, eagles, elephants, and whales etc. Now is the time to save theses rare species!

All in all, both animals and human beings have the right to love in the world. Nevertheless, animals are always hunted or killed by human beings. This is a rather tragic ecosystem! To remedy the situation,  we should treat the animals with the same consideration and care as our family members and our friends. Let's give our love towards animals!
